A Timeless Battello Jersey City Wedding

When it comes to waterfront venues with a front-row seat to the New York City skyline, Battello in Jersey City always delivers. And truly, these views never get old! So it comes as no surprise how excited I was when Lindsey inquired for her late May wedding. It was clear she had a vision, but just needed a little help visualizing how it would all come together. Fortunately, Gabbi from The Wedding Plan and Company ensured every detail went off without a hitch and Lizzie Burger Photography captured it all behind the lens.

THE FINER PAPER DETAILS

Wedding paper played an important role in setting the tone right from the beginning. Guests first received a photo-style save the date in a taupe-hued envelope. Each side featured a favorite engagement photo along with a few key details. The five-piece invitation suite carried that same classic style forward. Printed in black on pearl white Crane’s Lettra paper, the letterpress invitation featured a blind letterpress border for texture. An oval details card featured a venue illustration. Their traditional mail-back response card brought a playful touch through its wording. A black silk ribbon tied the suite together, and taupe envelopes added a soft pop of color.

Inside the ballroom, tables were decorated in neutral linens. Tables alternated between two centerpiece variations–lush greenery with Baby’s Breath or cylinder candles and Baby’s Breath stems in small Swiss dot glass vases. Embroidered lace napkins rested beside scalloped plates, each accented with a circle dinner menu to guide guests through the evening’s fare. The couple displayed their his and hers signature drinks on the bar.
