I’m SO happy for you. You’re excited, nervous and perhaps even overwhelmed–trust me, I’ve been there! After being in the industry for over a decade, rest assured the details always come together. You just have to put your trust in your vendor team. Whether you’re in the beginning stages of planning or have been at this for months, your pretty paper journey is about to get started! Are you curious to learn more about how the Lace and Belle custom invitation process works? Continue reading to get an overview of what your custom wedding invitation design process experience would look like when working with me.
First things first! You browsed the Lace and Belle website, took a peek at my Instagram, love my portfolio and read some rave reviews. If you think I might be a great fit for your wedding style, start the convo by filling out the contact form.
Your stationery journey begins with a customized consultation. I’m more than happy to chat over the phone or via video call; alternatively, you can simply share your wedding ideas and must-haves that would create your dream wedding invitation!
After I review your inquiry [or following our consultation], I’ll create a customized proposal that includes the package and all the belles and whistles you’re interested in. If the proposal, invoice, and payment schedule work for you and your fiancé, it’s time to make it official.
Upon securing your date , you’ll receive a sample box to explore some paper and embellishment options. Invitation samples allow you to view paper thickness, color, and textures, as well as embellishments options first hand. We’ll arrange a design call to discuss the timeline, your ideas, and the pretty paper details that make your heart skip a few extra beats. I’ll send a short questionnaire to gather the finer details needed to create your invitation concepts, as well.
Following our design call, I’ll create three custom realistic design mockups based on your overall vision and invitation package. You’ll share your feedback, and together, we’ll continue to work on revisions until you absolutely love your invitations.
After you sign off on your final proofs, I’ll prep the files to immediately send to my printer. Print production takes approximately 10 to 14 business days for digital flat and letterpress printing. Add on an additional 7 business days for metallic foil stamping and/or blind deboss/emboss elements.
Your package includes white glove assembly from mounting your invitations to pocket bases and wrapping belly band wraps, to tying ribbon, adding wax seals, and/or adding envelope liners. I’ll even double check your invitation weight, add standard USPS postage and drive them to the post office on your behalf! You will receive a keepsake suite and any additional invitations directly for you to cherish for years to come.
Additionally, your wedding invitation design process is all about taking the stress off your shoulders. I’ll be here throughout the experience to guide and answer your etiquette related questions. Let’s set the tone for the biggest celebration you’ll ever plan and have fun while doing so. Are you ready to design your dream wedding invitations? Let’s chat!
