Marilena and Chris met on a dating app and went on their first date the summer of 2015. About five years following dinner in Hoboken, the two headed to Montauk (one of their favorite locations to visit) for the weekend. “Chris proposed on the beach. It was super intimate and romantic, which was perfect for us,” Marilena shared. After initially chatting with Marilena about her and Chris’ vision, I knew their wedding at The Estate at Florentine Gardens was going to be super elegant, but also one hell of a party. (Fun fact. During wedding planning, Marilena and Chris were most excited for dancing and having fun surrounded by all of their favorite people.) Arcadia Floral Co. transformed the ballroom with the prettiest centerpieces, while LJDJs set the stage for a memorable first dance, and kept the energy high for Marilena and Chris to live out their best night ever.
When it came to the pretty paper details, Marilena hoped to create a romantic first impression with classic and modern details using a neutral color palette. Their save the dates incorporated a photo from their engagement session with a vellum overlay held together with a gold brad. We carried the simplistic design over to the invitations and incorporated a custom monogram and traditional verbiage for the five-piece suite. They added on signature Lace and Belle calligraphy, as well as printed belly band wraps in a muted blush to hold it all together. The monogram was then used on their custom menu cards for their elegant ballroom wedding and was even made into a spotlight for the dance floor! Marilena and Chris also rented the Magnolia mirror for their welcome sign, as well as the Savannah mirror for their seating chart. Thank you so much Marilena and Chris for trusting me to design your save the dates, wedding invitations, and day-of details for your elegant ballroom wedding. I had so much fun working and getting to know you. Wishing you all the love and happiness!
