If you haven’t heard of Loch Aerie Mansion, you’ve been missing out on this stunning venue; until now! Built in 1865, this estate inspires through it’s romantic architecture featuring intricate adornments from the stately entryway and grand staircase to the parlor, bridal suite, grand ballroom, and picturesque gardens. As if this venue isn’t already impressive as is, just wait until you see it overflowing with the most elegant details that easily takes this locale to the very next level. In other words, this wedding inspiration you’re about to peruse is the ultimate definition of old world charm meets fine art luxury, especially if you want to bring a sense of European charm to the east coast. After all, is there anything that stands the test of time more than a soft, classic, monochromatic color palette of white and cream with the perfect accent of gold?! Add in one of the prettiest ceremony arrangements created by Layers of Lovely that also doubled as a sweetheart backdrop and who knew a fireplace dripping in baby’s breath would look THIS GOOD! There’s also a lace gown in a sleek silhouette, lace Bella Belle Shoes shoes to match, a modern tuxedo, an incredible statement-making floral backdrop by Nicol Floral Design, and a classic all-white cake that’s anything but boring.
The overall aesthetic and venue itself inspired the Lace and Belle invitation suite and day-of details. I incorporated a laurel leaf motif, gold wax seal, and a blush liner for a subtle contrast that was still pleasing to the eye. Modern calligraphy paired with a serif typeface was printed in black ink on white deckled paper for the perfect touch that embodied a modern, yet classic style. A deckled table number, black menu cards with white ink calligraphy, and engraved lucite table names brought the pretty paper details full circle.
