Modern and timeless immediately comes to mind when I look back on Maria and Michael’s wedding. Their special day took place on Friday the thirteenth in March, right before COVID-19 started to spread like wildfire throughout the tri-state area forcing many couples to postpone. Luckily, the virus didn’t stop these love birds from having the most magical winter wedding at The Park Savoy Estate. The black and white color scheme paired with gold accents not only perfectly complemented the couple’s classic style, but proves this pretty palette will stand the test of time. Maria and Michael wed during a traditional church ceremony followed by outdoor portraits and a ballroom reception. My absolute favorite part though, is Maria’s wedding day look. She wore a Hayley Paige ball gown overlay skirt for the ceremony and then removed it for the reception revealing a sleek, form-fitting Romona Keveza gown. She totally rocked both looks and I honestly can’t decide which I love more! There are so many joyous moments throughout this wedding captured by Olivia Christina Photography.
During our initial consultation, Maria loved various elements from previously designed invitations, so I pulled them all together to create a custom suite that was minimal, yet romantic. The main invitation featured a gold foil monogram with black ink on white card stock. Along with response cards, they decided on two additional insert cards for the reception and hotel information, pearlescent white envelopes. gold metallic belly bands to hold the suite together, and gold envelope liners to tie it all together.
Congratulations to my Disney loving couple, Maria and Michael! It was an absolute pleasure having the opportunity to get to know you and designing your wedding invitations. Cheers to happily ever after! Xo
