When Makeup By Roxy asked if I’d be interested in collaborating for her winter styled shoot this past February, it was a no brainer! The inspiration board alone was romantic and edgy, and completely different than the bright and airy style that I’ve grown accustomed to. Plus, how could I miss the opportunity to join creative forces with Roxy and her team of talented wedding professionals?! The shoot itself took place at the Dery Mansion in Catasauqua, PA. The architecture alone will captivate you, but the dramatic color palette, variety of textures (velvet, wood, lace and tulle) and jewel-toned florals designed by Allium Floral Design evoke a moody elegance that are sure to speak to your heart.
Drawing inspiration from the setting and overall edgy aesthetic Roxy wanted to convey, the Lace and Belle wedding invitation suite needed to be statement-making. And what better way to leave a lasting impression than with a wood engraved invitation complemented with hand torn enclosure cards, a gold wax seal, and of course some modern calligraphy?! (Insert all the heart eyes!!!)
