Something Borrowed

Your details matter. After all, your wedding day is the biggest event you'll ever plan and just like your marriage, you want it to stand the test of time. It's here in my journal where I share a piece of my heart from love stories, inspiration, love letters, and all things pretty.

Grab yourself a glass of sweet tea (or whatever you fancy) and borrow my notes shared in my blog for a
celebration to remember!

Timeless Blush Private Estate Styled Shoot Wedding Inspiration

From the romantic florals to the private estate (which also happened to be inspiration behind the styled shoot), this wedding editorial is all about feminine and timeless romance. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a beautiful venue with gardens and a ballroom setting, BUT there’s something to be said about hosting a wedding on the grounds of a non-traditional locale that has so much meaning behind it. Imagine getting ready the morning of your wedding in the room you grew up in, exchanging vows under the gazebo where Sunday dinners were held, taking portraits amid the family vineyards, and, of course, celebrating the night away during a tented reception on the lawn that perhaps entertained so many family barbecues. BE STILL MY BEATING HEART!

Amie Retzlaff Photography captured all the pretty details curated by an incredibly talented vendor team. Sarah Gerber Designs pulled together florals of light rose hues, creamy whites, greenery, and a pop of red. Danielle Asta Hair styled the bride’s hair in romantic loose curls, and Beauty by Dana applied makeup with a subtle smokey eye and a bold lip.

A custom monogram floral crest gracefully embellished the top of the custom, double-layered wedding invitation designed by Lace and Belle. I also incorporated modern calligraphy and ecru linen card stock for a little bit of texture. The florals were carried through to the response card, and the envelope featured modern calligraphy, as well. The calligraphy details didn’t stop there! We brought in mirror elements starting with a calligraphy mirror table number to beautifully complement the dreamy tablescape decor and the bridal vintage rose rental with the Song of Solomon bible verse, “I have found the one whom my soul loves.” But one of my absolute favorite details (the icing on the wedding cake, if you will) was without a doubt the custom calligraphy table runner adorned with the song lyrics, “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)” for the wedding cake to be displayed on!

Dreamy blush wedding inspiration that proves you can never go wrong with this pretty palette.

Every single detail is prettier than the next and this talented team completely nailed the overall whimsy, romantic, and timeless aesthetic. See how this wedding inspiration was brought to life below!
