Your details matter. After all, your wedding day is the biggest event you'll ever plan and just like your marriage, you want it to stand the test of time. It's here in my journal where I share a piece of my heart from love stories, inspiration, love letters, and all things pretty.

Something Borrowed

Your save the dates have been mailed and your guests penciled you in on their calendar, now it’s time to get started on your wedding invitation suite! Your wedding invitations are one of the most important wedding details, as it establishes your wedding aesthetic, formality, and the overall mood you would like to convey for your big day. Ultimately, the wedding invitation suite is the first impression you’ll make and you only have one chance to get it right. If you’re not sure what stationery essentials you need to include, Lace and Belle is here to help with some wedding stationery 101.

The main invitation is the most essential stationery piece that joyfully invites and informs guests of the important details. On this piece you’ll include who is hosting, your names, date, time, and ceremony location.

Response cards is how guests will communicate to you if they will or will not be attending your wedding day. On this card you might also need to include meal choices (if your reception facility needs a count prior to your wedding day) or you can have guests request a song. Including an interactive detail for family and friends to fill out is a great way for invitees to get excited for your wedding day. You’ll also look forward to seeing what they filled in!

The details cards are additional enclosure pieces to share your reception information, hotel accommodations, after party, post-wedding brunch, and wedding website.

Outer envelopes will neatly hold your invitation and enclosure cards with your return address printed on the back flap of the envelope. A response envelope is also needed (don’t forget postage!) to ensure your guest RSVP’s will be returned.

While the stationery pieces listed above are the most crucial to make up your invitation suite, there are many ways to personalize the overall design to make a lasting impression. Are you ready to get the wedding invitation process started? Let’s chat! I can’t wait to hear from you! Xo
